PolyMirae held a ceremony to mark its 25th anniversary. The event was graced by members of the boards of DL Chemical and LyondellBasell, former CEOs, and key executives from partner companies.

The program began with a commemorative address by the CEO, followed by congratulatory speeches from DL Chemical and LyondellBasell. Employees and guests then enjoyed a special video highlighting PolyMirae’s 25-year journey.

This anniversary celebration was a meaningful occasion to reflect on the company’s achievements over the past 25 years and to share PolyMirae’s vision for even greater progress in the years ahead.

On September 1, 2025, PolyMirae relocated its head office from Yeouido to the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry building near City Hall Station.

After 24 years in Yeouido since 2001, the company has returned to Jung-gu, the site of its early beginnings, embracing a new working environment.

On February 7, Jean Gadbois (SVP Manufacturing O&P EAI), George Bai (Director O&P China JV and Program Management), Jimmy Schop (Director Business Finance O&P EAI), and Jach He (JV Director O&P Asia) from LyondellBasell visited Korea to attend an offline board meeting and they conducted a town hall meeting with PolyMirae staff.

Jean Gadbois and the directors hosted the meeting, discussing topics related to LYB's DEI (Diversity/Equity/Inclusivity) moment, New Purpose, Commitments and Values, Safety, and Sustainability in a relaxed atmosphere of communication with PolyMirae staff.

Particularly, PolyMirae staff discussed LYB's efforts to improve its DEI and the direction of profitability improvement along with deep interest in the Recycling Business during this town hall meeting.

Additionally, CEO Mitchell Killeen emphasized the importance of Sustainability and the Circular economy, saying: "With LYB's support, PolyMirae looks forward to seizing the leading opportunities in Decarbonization and Circularity fields in the East Asia region."

On June 14, 2022, PolyMirae conducted fire response training and crisis response training at its Yeosu plant on the occasion of Global Safety Day.

In 2022, PolyMirae will conduct company-wide crisis response training more than twice a year under the slogan "DRIVE IT HOME, SAFE TO HOME" and is doing its best to strengthen safety awareness and provide a safe working environment to all executives and employees.

Kim Bang-Hyun, CEO of PolyMirae, gave a special lecture on CEO to students attending Hanyeoung University on April 27, 2022.

The CEO's special lecture was conducted with a company introduction, an introduction to the petrochemical industry trend, and Q&A Session for Recruitment. It was an excellent opportunity to introduce and communicate with prospective PolyMirae employees.

On March 29, 2022, PolyMirae was selected as an excellent company for safety management by Yeosu-si and won the best award.
This year, Yeosu-si awarded commendations to four companies that have excellent safety accident prevention activities among the companies operating in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex.

With this award, PolyMirae will continue to make active efforts and investments to improve workplace safety and prevent industrial accidents under the Management Philosophy of safety first.
