PolyMirae is a joint venture between Daelim and Lyon-dellBasell Industries, both of which are well respected companies worldwide, and is the top polypropylene pro-duction company in Korea. With Daelim's outstanding accumulated operational techniques and LyondellBa-sell's core technologies and worldwide sales network, PolyMirae was founded on September 1st 2000 in order to produce and supply the best polypropylene in Asia.
PolyMirae's head office is in Seoul and the R&D center is in Daejeon. We produce a wide range of polypropylene products at our plant in Yeosu Petrochemical Complex, which has 4 production lines, using LyondellBasell's Spheripol PP process technology.
PolyMirae, a leader in polypropylene production in Asia, has an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons, and has been offering differentiated products to local and overseas customers. PolyMirae has a portfolio with a broad range of polypropylene products, from the homopolymers used in textiles, electronics, automotive products, consumer products, industrial and packaging materials to block copolymers and random copolymers. PolyMirae has been leading the development of new technologies in the industry. Recently we completed the production facilities for metallocene PP (marketed as Metocene) and block copolymers, which have excellent transparency and low temperature impact resistance. We therefore anticipate being able to offer our customers a greater variety of products with excellent functionality.
